Animal Health, Welfare and Biosecurity
Forest Hill Consulting provides technical advice on animal health, welfare and biosecurity with an emphasis on the extensive grazing industries.
Natarsha combines experience as both a farm veterinarian and government veterinary officer. In the latter role she has been extensively involved in biosecurity, including the management of the Victorian response to the exotic disease pigeon paramyxovirus, and in farm animal welfare. She has a PhD in livestock welfare and an excellent knowledge of state and federal regulatory and response planning frameworks in animal health.
Scott is a sheep and cattle veterinarian with experience both in Australia and overseas. He is the Deputy Chair of the Victorian Government's Animal Welfare Advisory Committee, a wool industry nominee on the Consultative Committee on Emergency Animal Disease (CCEAD) and a sessional lecturer in small ruminant medicine in the Faculty of Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne. Scott is also the part-time Executive Officer for Veterinary Schools of Australia and New Zealand.
Scott and Natarsha co-authored the AUSVETPLAN resource document 'Persistence of disease agents in carcases and animal products' in 2003.
